国学院每年组织国学班赴山东曲阜、邹城、泰山等地探访孔孟故里，学生整肃衣冠，宣读祭文，祭拜如仪。
S.C.C. also reinforces the field works and researches on historical and cultural sites in China. Every year, one or two classes are organized to visit Qufu(Confucius’s hometown), Zoucheng(Mencius’s hometown) and Taishan in Shandong Province where our students would dress appropriately, read out funeral orations and worship in rites.
2013年，国学院与敦煌研究院正式签订“学生实习教学合作协议”，设立本科实践教学基地。从此每年10月，敦煌研究院派专业讲解员引导国学班学生参观莫高窟、榆林窟等历史文化遗迹，并开设专场学术讲座。
In 2013 S.C.C. formally signed the Student Practice Teaching Cooperative Agreement with Dunhuang Research Academy. Since then the academy has sent professional expositors to guide our students to visit the historical and cultural sites such as Mogao Grottoes and Yulin Grottoes, and arranged special academic forum every October.
每年端午，国学班在武汉东湖之滨，执古礼祭祀屈原，弘扬屈子坚持理想、正直不阿的精神。这一礼仪实践已成为武汉东湖风景区的重要文化活动之一，受到社会的肯定和媒体的广泛关注，2012年被中央电视台“焦点访谈”栏目报道。
In annual Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese Classics class worshiped Qu Yuan 屈原 in ancient rites for his spirits of integrity and persistence for ideals. It became one of the most significant cultural activities of Wuhan East Lake Scenic Area, which attracted a broad attention of the media and won the recognition of the society. And it was also reported by the Focus Interviews program of CCTV in 2012.
每年孔子诞辰（9月28日），国学班或于武大樱顶老图书馆前，或在校图书馆正门外，举行较大规模的“释菜礼”奠祭，祭祀先圣先师，实践士君子“居处恭，执事敬”的风节。
To celebrate anniversary of the birth of Confucius in 28th September, Chinese Classics class held a large-scale “Shicai-ceremony” (释菜礼) to worship the sages and masters and to inherit the Confucian Noble Men’s (Junzi君子) integrity that live life humbly and do things devotedly.
国学班学生开展“经典教读”，深入武大附小等校，讲授《论语》等国学经典，从孔孟之道到古琴艺术，从易学精华到道家智慧，从传统服饰到《西游记》中的兵器，数年来已惠及千余位少年儿童。
Our students campaigned classics-teaching activity in Wuhan University Attached Primary School. They taught a thousand of children Chinese classics like the Analects of Confucius in several years, involved the doctrines of Confucius and Mencius, the arts of Guqin, the spirit of the Book of Changes, wisdom of Taoists, traditional cloth, weapons in the Pilgrimage to the West and so on.
2014年初，2010级“弘毅学堂”国学班李四维、王悦笛，在河北卫视主办的文化类大型季播节目“中华好诗词”中一路过关斩将，从数以千计的参赛选手中脱颖而出，最终分别摘取冠、亚军。
At the beginning of 2014, Li Siwei and Wang Yuedi, session 2010 students in school of Hong Yi Chinese Classics Class, overcame all the difficulties in the way and finally stood head and shoulders above the rest of contestants and separately won the first and second prize in the big cultural TV program Chinese Good Poetry held by Hebei satellite TV station.
2015年，教育部与光明日报联合举办“礼敬中华优秀传统文化”，武汉大学“让中华优秀传统文化在大学校园活色生香”项目，在全国100余所高校报送的130余项成果中脱颖而出，被评为全国高校“礼敬中华优秀传统文化”十大示范项目，进行展示和推广。其中多个项目都有国学院师生的参与。
In 2015 the education department and GuangMing Daily jointly sponsored the activity of “Respect for the Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture”. Wuhan University’s project that “Let Chinese Excellent Traditional Culture Live Flesh in University Campus” stood out from the 130 projects submitted by more than a hundred universities. It was voted as a top-ten demonstration project and was displayed and popularized. Our teachers and students took part in several projects.
